Angela is an experienced sustainability professional. She was awarded Emerita Professor status by the University of Surrey in 2022 in recognition her contribution to advancing sustainability at the University. Her multidisciplinary research investigates avenues towards more sustainable lifestyles, taking a holistic, systems-based approach that encompasses supply chain analysis combined with understandings of individual and societal behaviours. Angela is based in London, United Kingdom.

Professor Dr. Jens Poll serves as Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair in several medium-sized companies with global activities. He works as an expert, expert witness and arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.
He also teaches law and regulation at the University of Ulm and is, inter alia, Chair of the Commission on Quality Assurance at WPK (Wirtschaftsprüferkammer) and member of several committees of IDW (Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer). He served as Managing Partner of a medium-sized accountancy and law firm for 20 years and was European Chairman and international board member of an international accounting and legal network for many years.
On an international level, he has been a member of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) from January 2018 to December 2023 and has inter alia served as chair of the Tax Planning and Related Services Task Force and as a member of the Sustainability Task Force. Since December 2024 he is President of Accountancy Europe.
Professor Poll holds professional degrees as public accountant, lawyer and tax advisor in Germany.

Jenny is a founding partner at Apella, an advisory firm that helps organisations build their purpose, strategy and reputation. Prior to establishing Apella, Jenny led communications at the Bank of England and was Economics Correspondent at the BBC. She is a trustee of Pro Bono Economics. Jenny is based in London, United Kingdom.

Sunil Sharma is a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the Institute for International Economic Policy, Elliott School of International Affairs, The George Washington University, Washington DC, USA, and a Senior Associate at the Council on Economic Policies, Zurich, Switzerland. He was Assistant Director in the IMF’s Research Department from 2015-2018, and the Director of the IMF-Singapore Regional Training Institute in Singapore (STI) from 2006-2015. Before moving to Singapore in 2006, Sunil was Chief of the IMF Institute’s Asian Division in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the IMF in 1992, he was on the Economics faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Sunil is based in Washington DC, USA.

Corinne is a chartered accountant by training, and has held several executive positions notably at PWC, Accountancy Europe, EY where she was practice leader for Corporate Social Responsibility Audit and Advisory. Her areas of expertise include finance, strategy, governance and project management. She is also member of the Belgian Triathlon executive committee and CEO of the Belgian French-speaking triathlon league. Corinne is based in Brussels, Belgium.

Peter moved to Portugal in 1983 with his wife Miranda and family to establish and run A Rocha’s first field study centre and bird observatory for environmental conservation. In 1995 the work was given over to national leadership and they moved to France where together with national colleagues they oversaw the establishment of two other centres, while travelling worldwide to resource the growing movement of Christians active in nature conservation. A Rocha is now established in 21 countries on 5 continents, and Peter spent many years as its president. He has been part of the thinking and development of North Star Transition since our inception.

Vrushali specialises in helping corporate teams navigate sustainability-led transformations. As a Global Director at Google, she is responsible for strategy and execution of NetZero, carbon reduction and clean energy across Google operations and its value chain. Prior to that as a Managing Director at Accenture she helped build and scale the sustainability practice, with a deep focus on climate risk, carbon emissions management and ESG technology solutions. Vrushali is based in Cupertino, CA, USA.

Rebecca Annells is a science analyst at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, UK Government. She has an academic science background, with a BA Hons in Cell and Systems Biology from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Bath. Alongside strong research skills, Rebecca has passion for science communication, systems thinking and championing equality, diversity and inclusion. She is a podcast-nut and keen cold-water swimmer, currently based in South East Cornwall. Rebecca is based in Bristol, United Kingdom.
